Veronika Antunović Marić started playing the oboe when she was 14 years old. She finished elementary and high music school in Novi Sad in music school “Isidor Bajić“ in the class of Žužana Egić. In 1995 she enrolled Academy of Arts in Novi Sad in the class of Ljubiša Petruševski and studied three years in his class. In fourth year she was in the class of Gabor Dienes from Budapest and assistant Vladimir Puškaš. She graduated in 2000. She finished master studies of oboe at Academy of Arts in Novi Sad in the class of Janos Kemeny from Budapest. In school year 1999/2000 she was a student at Music Academy „Liszt Ferenc“ in Budapest in the class of Peter Pongracz and assistant Gabor Dienes.
During her education she achieved results in many competitions such as Republic competition in Belgrade in 1995, second prize and in 1997 she won first prize.
She attended master classes of eminent oboe professors-Han de Vries (Netherlands) and Laszlo Hadady (France), Janos Kemeny (Hungary), Lajos Lences (Stuttgart) and Stephan Shili (Germany), Hansjorg Schellenberger (Germany), as well as chamber music master classes of professors Norbert Girlinger (Austria) and Boštjan Lipovšek (Slovenia).
She performed as a soloist at many concerts, but also with chamber ensembles in Serbia and Hungary. She was the member of woodwind quartet “Quaternion”. Since 2008 she has performed with pianist Timea Hotić. As a member of Youth Philharmonic Orchestra of Vojvodina and Soloists of Novi Sad, she performed in the country and abroad (Slovenia, Hungary, Austria, and Germany). In 2004 she was a member of Verbier Festival Orchestra from Switzerland and performed across Europe and the Middle East. In 2010 she was a member of MIO Orchestra from Maribor. She is a member of Symphony Orchestra of Southeastern Europe from Sarajevo, Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra from Novi Sad and orchestra “Orfelin” from Novi Sad.
She worked as a professor of the oboe in music school “Vlado Milošević” in Banja Luka from 2001 to 2011. Currently, she works as a solo oboist in Serbian National Theatre Orchestra in Novi Sad and as a member of Novi Sad Wind Quintet and Trio Novi Sad – flute, oboe and piano. She is artistic board member of Festival of chamber music in Novi Sad.
