Sanja Lukovac was born in 1988 in Kragujevac where she goes to primary and secondary music school in the class of Natalija Tomić. At the age of 12, she was a student of the preparatory year for young talents at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad in the class of professor Rita Kinka. At the age of 16, she finished secondary music school and became one of the youngest students of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad in the class of professor Rita Kinka. After bachelor and master studies she continued her education on specialist studies at the Faculty of music in Belgrade, at the same time departments of piano and chamber music. She finished PhD studies at the Faculty of music in Belgrade, chamber music department and currently she is in the final year of PhD studies in piano department in the class of professor Dejan Sinadinović. She attended many master classes where she had the opportunity to work with eminent piano pedagogues. Some of them are Arbo Valdma, Diana Anderson, Aleksandar Madžar, Yuri Kot, Emanuel Krasovsky, Wei Yi Yang, Sara Chang, Rustem Hayroudinoff and many others. She has won many awards in country and international competitions. As most important ones stand out first awards in international competitions “Ella Philipp” in Romania in 2008- three-lap competition of piano concerts, Piano Memorial “Isidor Bajić” in Novi Sad in 2004 and third award in the same competition in 2006. Also, time after time she won on many domestic competitions with international and national character like Republic competition of music and ballet schools of Serbia in Belgrade, International competition of pianists in Šabac, International competition “Gradus ad parnasum” in Kragujevac, Competition of Young Pianists in Niš. She is the winner of awards in competitions in Czech Republic-fifth place on competition “Carl Czerny” in Prague, Macedonia-second place on competition “ Musicians of new millennium” in Skoplje (first place was not awarded), Italy-first award on competition “Citta di Stresa”. She performed in the most important auditoriums in Serbia (Ilija Kolarac Endowment-Belgrade; Synagogue, City hall-Novi Sad; City Hall-Subotica) as a soloist, with orchestra and as a member of chamber ensembles. As a soloist, she performed with Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra, Camerata Academica, Philharmonic of Timisoara, Schlezinger, Orchestra of Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. So far she worked with conductors: Francesco La Vecchia, Gheorghe Kostin, Saša Nikolovski Đumar, Željka Milanović, Vladimir Milić, Nemanja Mitrašević. Also, she has been active as a member of pianist duo “Floreus” with Andrea Der for many years. Currently, she works as assistant professor at Faculty of Philology and Arts in Kragujevac.
