Novi Sad Wind Quintet was founded in 2010 in Novi Sad on the initiative of horn player Mirko Marić with an idea that the city like Novi Sad has such an ensemble. The members are Ksenija Mijatović Korom (flute), Veronika Antunović (oboe), Kristijan Boroš (clarinet), Goran Marinković (bassoon) and Mirko Marić (French horn). All wind quintet members are musicians whose field of activity is wide (Ksenija Mijatović Korom – teacher in music school "Isidor Bajić" in Novi Sad, member of Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra, orchestra "Camerata Academica" as well as "Orfelin" orchestra; Veronika Antunović – member of Serbian National Theatre Opera Orchestra in Novi Sad, Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra, orchestra "Camerata Academica" as well as "Orfelin" orchestra; Kristijan Boroš – teaching associate at Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, member of Serbian National Theatre Opera Orchestra in Novi Sad, orchestra "Camerata Academica" as well as "Orfelin" orchestra; Goran Marinković – professor at Faculty of music in Belgrade and member of orchestra “Camerata Serbica“; Mirko Marić – member of Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra, orchestra "Camerata Academica" as well as "Orfelin" orchestra). So far quintet has held noticeable concerts in Novi Sad, Senta, Sombor, Zrenjanin, Banja Luka, Belgrade and as well as at the opening of the 9th International woodwind competition in Požarevac and opening of 7th international competition "Anton Eberst" in Novi Sad.
In June 2012, Novi Sad Wind Quintet participated in chamber music master class held by professor Norbert Gilinger (Austria) and in September same year they participated in master class held by Boštjan Lipovšek (Slovenia). In July 2012 they were the official chamber ensemble of the workshop for composers "KompART02" where they performed specially composed pieces for the ensemble written by young composers from Serbia and the region. In 2014 at the invitation of composer Milan Aleksić, Novi Sad Wind Quintet became part of regular ensemble of Center for contemporary music at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad.
In 2014 they had two concerts which were part of "5+1 gratis" cycle and they collaborated with the following artist: Goran Tudor - saxophone (Croatia), Slobodanka Stević - piano (Serbia) and Aleksandar Gligić – piano (Serbia). The project was supported by the city of Novi Sad. Many original compositions for quintet were performed for the first time, as well as transcriptions.
In October 2015 they held a noticeable concert in Vienna (Austria) as part of a project "Vojvodina recommend" where the composition of Petar Konjović "Midsummer Night's Dream” was performed for the first time.
In February 2016 they celebrated five years of work by performing with Marko Miletić – cello (Serbia), Igor Lazić – french horn (Serbia), Slobodanka Stević – piano (Serbia) and Aleksandar Gligić – piano (Serbia). Composition “Think of”, written by the young composer from Banja Luka David Mastikosa, was performed for the first time at the concert. The composition was written for Novi Sad Wind Quintet.
They played together with pianist Timea Hotić at a concert as part of "Dani Vlade S. Miloševića" in Banja Luka ( Bosnia and Herzegovina) in April 2017.
Novi Sad Wind Quintet organized a project "5+5=dektet" in October 2017 where the Jean Francaix's composition "Dixtour " was performed for the first time and the sound of wind quintet and string quintet were joined at two concerts in Novi Sad and Zrenjanin. As part of this project, quintet collaborated with the following artists: Bojan Glušica – violin (Serbia), Dragana Milošević – violin (Serbia), Aleksandar Stankov – viola (Serbia), Marko Miletić – cello (Serbia) and Milan Milanov – double bass (Serbia).
In 2017 their first CD “Music of Serbian composers for woodwind quintet” was published with works of Petar Konjović, Dorotea Vejnović, Nataša Đuragić and Ivana Vojnović.
