Luca Lucini was born in Salò in 1971. He began studying the classical guitar at the age of eight. He improved with M° Giampaolo Bandini and M° Giovanni Puddu and attended master classes held by musicians such as Paolo Pegoraro, Aniello Desiderio, Alvaro Pierri, Tilmann Hoppstock, Oscar Ghiglia and the Trio di Parma. He has won several competitions. He takes concerts both as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles with musicians such as the violinist Marco Fornaciari, the conductor José Luis Basso, the violinist Nobuhiko Asaeda.
He has performed in Europe and Asia at important music festivals such as the 67th edition of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the 2005-2006 chamber music season of the Tokyo City Philarmonica Orchestra, the “Weekend mozartiani” in Ravello, the Festival de Radio France et Montpellier, the Festival di Torrechiara, the “Niccolò Paganini” International Guitar Festival in Parma, the Friuli Venezia Giulia International Guitar Festival.
Together with the bandoneonist Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi, he collaborates with the journalist Luca Pagliari in a show entitled “Al di là dell’acqua – Beyond the water” dedicated to the famous football player Renato Cesarini.
He performs in duos in shows by the poet and scriptwriter Tonino Guerra “Odyssey” with the actor Ivano Marescotti, “The fantastic dictionary” with the actress Meme Fiano - playing original music by Andrea Scarpone.
On 20th March 2009, he played as a soloist with the Belorussian State Chamber Orchestra and performed the world première of the Concert for Guitar and Orchestra by Andrea Scarpone.
In 2009, together with Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi, he recorded a CD entitled “el tan(G)o” with music by Astor Piazzolla, Matteo Falloni, Ariel Ramirez, Louis Bacalov Scarpino & Caldarella and Lalo Schiffrin. In March 2016 new CD was published in duo with the cellist Kathrina Gross with music by Radamés Gnattali, Manuel de Falla, Arnold Marinissen, Matteo Falloni and AlanThomas.
He is the art director of the festival “Pomeriggi musicali di Salò”. He is a teacher at the Music School “San Carlo” in Salò and at the Liceo “B Russell” in Cles. He plays the guitar by Luigi Muscettola.
